I have a passion for audio work and I believe in the power of community radio and free access to information. Audio is a great means to transmit real experiences and information without additional distraction. Listening deeply is such an important competence. Doing the work and listening to podcasts and radio extensively myself, helps me growing my own listening capabilities.

SafaTalents Podcast: It all started with the idea of sharing and making apparent what I experience when traveling and meeting great people in countries we have limited knowledge of. I felt that there were so many untold stories from people and especially women in the Middle East and beyond we should really be aware of. I kicked it off with a crowdfunding campaign which was a unique experience.

The Global Dialogues allow me to address important topics from a feminist, developmental, transcultural perspective. The team of women on air discusses main issues dealing with the SDGs and the Global South.

Radio Orange 94.0 is Vienna’s biggest community radio, celebrating its 25th birthday in 2023. I got to know community radio during the pandemic when I was forced to stop moving. What I discovered was a space open to all who want to engage. I am convinced that this is a major democratic tool in our society. That is the reason why I wanted to get involved in the orange committee as a consulting body to the executive board.
